Impact OSS is an application designed for use by individual States to help monitor and implement human rights obligations and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Many countries experience the same issues when it comes to human rights reporting and implementation. The same appears to be true for the Sustainable Development Goals, also known as SDGs, and their specific targets.

Recommendations received can be numerous, overlapping and complex and ultimately lead to most States either taking a silo'ed approach to implementation or no strategic approach at all. IMPACT OSS assist States in developing a National Implementation Plan for all human rights recommendations and obligations, and the SDGs. It helps to identify links and eliminate duplication of reporting, identify implementation gaps, set indicators and collect data on an ongoing basis.

If used effectively, IMPACT OSS can significantly reduce the reporting burden, improve the quality and outcomes of the reporting process and foster a more effective approach to implementation of rights and the SDGs.
