References are frequently made to the Micro-thesauri found in the publication Microthesauri: A Tool for Documenting Human Rights Violations, which include codes and terms. HURIDOCS also provides additional supporting documents such as guidelines for entering names, and these should also be used in conjunction with completing the various fields. The heading of each scope note consists of two parts – the Field Tag and the Field Name. Following these are four parts in the following order:  Definition of the field  Guidelines on how and when to use this field  Entry with instructions on how to enter information  Examples which illustrate how to enter information.
